Creating Memories Through Miniature Clay since 1998

At My Mini Shop SG, every miniature begins with a pair of hands and a heartfelt intention — to create memories that last.

More than 20 years ago, Jenny and Jessie started their small shop in Pasir Ris simply because they found miniatures adorable. What began as a simple interest slowly grew into something far more meaningful. Eight years ago, they moved to Whampoa Market, where they continue to welcome both local Singaporeans and tourists, each searching for a small keepsake with big meaning.

Jenny initially first started with crafting delicate miniature clay flowers, shaping every petal by hand. Much of her skill today comes from years of trial and error, learning patiently and refining her technique. But it was the smiles on her customers’ faces that turned her hobby into a lifelong passion.

Over time, they began recreating beloved Singaporean foods in miniature form — satay, kaya toast, otak otak and other local favourites. Tourists often bring them home as a piece of Singapore. For many locals, however, these tiny foods spark treasured memories. Grandmothers share childhood stories with their grandchildren through them, turning each miniature into a bridge between generations. Some families even choose them for ancestral memorial niches as lasting symbols of love and remembrance.

Younger customers are drawn to miniature furnitures, flowers and small animals — thoughtful gifts and little reminders of joy for everyday spaces.

For Jenny and Jessie, this journey has never been just about clay. It is about preserving stories, celebrating heritage, and creating memories through miniature clay — one tiny piece at a time.
